MOSCOW IN ONE DAY TOUR (8 or 9 hours)
This tour is not possible on Thursdays - Kremlin is closed.

To see all of Moscow in a day is nearly impossible! That's why we tailored our Moscow One Day tour in a way that gives you enough time to explore (peak into churches and shops), make memorable photos at the world-famous sites, try Russian cuisine at a local restaurant, and save you money by creating a smart itinerary!
You can find summarized list of Moscow in one day at the bottom of this page.
A friendly, personal guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at agreed time. We suggest you to wear comfortable shoes as you’ll be doing quite a lot of walking. Men wearing shorts will not be allowed to enter the main cathedral. Also good idea to ask your guide to swing by the bank exchange in case you didn’t have time to get Russian Rubles. Only Russian banknotes and credit cards are accepted in stores and restaurants.

If your hotel is located in walking distance from Red Square, you’ll walk there directly and do the Metro tour afterwards. If you stay a bit further out, maybe the guide will first show you a few beautiful metro stations before going to Red Square. Either way, metro pass is included in this tour.
Begin your Moscow one day tour at the world-famous Red Square. Find out why it’s called so and walk down the same cobble stone which is used for annual military parades. Capture the beauty of Saint Basil Cathedral with its colorful domes, hear fascinating, not boring facts about Lenin and the Mausoleum, stroll through the famous GUM department store and make a wish at the beginning of all Russian roads at Kilometer Zero. See the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier – the place where Russians come to remember their family, friends and companion-soldiers who lost their lives in the most brutal war of the 20th century.

Walk through Moscow’s most popular public park named after Czar Alexander I. This is an interesting place to explore memorial blocks of “Hero Cities”, the Grotto made of shattered Moscow buildings, Romanov obelisk, statues based on Russian fairytales. In the summer time enjoy the fountains and water arcades.
Moscow in one day can not be complete without a visit to Kremlin! Off to see the inside grounds of the Kremlin.

Tour of Moscow Kremlin begins outside the fortification wall. Inside you find monumental cathedrals, numerous palaces, the largest cannon and bell in the world and of course centuries of Russian history. Due to security reasons, tourists are only allowed to see roughly one-third of the grounds. On the tour you will have a chance to visit inside Assumption Cathedral where all Russian royalties were crowned and Archangel Cathedral – necropolis of 54 tombs of Russian Czars.
Please note, this tour does not include visit to the Armoury Museum. In case you want to add this museum, extra tour hour and ticket fees are required.
If you wish to see collection of the Diamond Fund, it's possible for you to buy tickets on the day of visit while you're on the grounds of Kremlin.

One of the tour stops will be made at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Cathedral was originally built to commemorate Russia’s victory over Napoleon, then tragic events of soviet period and today it’s a statement of re-established power and prestige of the religion in the country. From this spot, you can see many other famous landmarks such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, monument to the founder of St Petersburg - Peter the Great, former chocolate factory “Red October” and the spooky "House on the Embankment".

Continue your journey by car to one of the loveliest monasteries of Moscow – the New Maiden’s Convent. Built almost 500 years ago to protect one of the roads leading to Kremlin, it witnessed many tragic and heroic events of our history. This picturesque ancient fortress in the middle of a busy, modern city keeps its charm and religious purpose. It's one of moscovite's favorite places to come to jog, fish, draw or read.

We cross Moscow River and drive to the highest point of the city, to Sparrow Hills. During the day, it’s a nice spot to see the skyline of Moscow, on weekends - popular area for locals to celebrate weddings, in the evenings - it becomes the flashy spot for bikers and souped up cars. From the observation platform, you will see the legendary football stadium of Summer Olympics 1980, all seven Stalin’s sky scrapers, gold domes of the Kremlin churches, TV tower Ostankino and many other famous landmarks.
Despite Moscow being a very modern city, the area of Sparrow Hills still has a Soviet feel to it, mostly due to the monumental sky scraper of Moscow State University. It was built in 1950s by thousands of free and prisoner workers within just four years. Standing 240m high with about 33km of corridors, numerous sculptures and a soviet coat of arms, it’s very impressive! Great pictures here may only be ruined by fog as it stands at the highest point of the city, 80m above water level.

The tour of Moscow in one day gives us enough time to see other landmarks that are located some distance away from the center, such as Moscow Film Studio, ambassadorial town, residential quarters of “oligarchs” and the Victory Park.
The route of Moscow one day tour lays through Victory Park - an open air memorial, public park dedicated to 27 million Soviet men and women who lost their lives in the most cruel war of the 20th century, in World War II. Traveling along, you will see countless fountains and monuments, the building of Museum of the Great Patriotic War, a synagogue, a mosque, and an orthodox chapel. This may be a interesting place to return to on your own in the following days.
Nearby you will also see the Triumph Arch, statue of one of the best Russian Field Marshals – Kutuzov and drive down the prospect named after him. Today this prospect is also the Presidential motorcade avenue. This wide avenue was laid out in the mid-1950s as a prestigious residential area for diplomats, top scientists and even the Soviet leadership, whose town apartments were conveniently located midway between the Kremlin and their suburban dachas.
You will drive in front of the Russian White House, the Seat of Prime Minister. Find out why the building was shattered from tanks in 1993. Next to it, without must imagination you can see a 30-floor building which looks like an open book.
